Basel
We are a leader in the emerging field of proteomics, the comprehensive study of proteins. We have successfully integrated proteomics with genomics to create an innovative, proprietary drug discovery platform that allows the systematic separation, identification and characterisation of proteins on an industrial scale. Our goal is to use that platform to enable the development of a new generation of break-through products by: building a pipeline of proprietary small molecule and antibody drug and diagnostic products based on a portfolio of patent applications relating to, or to the use of, disease-associated proteins; and providing proteomics services and data to the pharmaceutical and life sciences industries.

Proteome, Inc. and DoubleTwist, Inc. today announced a partnership to provide data from Proteome's BioKnowledge Library through the genomic research portal DoubleTwist.com. Proteome's BioKnowledge Library provides extensive biological knowledge of genes and proteins across a wide variety of species.

GeneData is a global leader in the development of bioinformatics systems and related services in the functional genomics arena. We deliver innovative computational solutions for the management and intelligent analysis of large quantities of structurally complex biological data, generated by genome sequencing, microarrays, protein expression profiling, metabolic profiling and high-throughput screening. Our partners include major life-sciences organizations and some of the world's most prestigious research institutions. We strive to help our partners maximize their return on investment from costly technologies and gain a deeper understanding of underlying biological processes for advancement of their own research and product development. Founded in 1997, GeneData has grown to a team of around 70 experts from diverse fields including molecular biology, biochemistry, computer science, (bio)physics, mathematics and statistics. Our growth continues as we recruit the best people for developing and applying in-silico methods for functional genomics problems.

EUROPROTEOME applies state-of-the-art, convergent gene expression technologies - in particular proteomics and transcriptomics to human epithelial cancers (e.g. colon or lung cancer) in order to identify cancer-specific protein expression patterns (targets / markers) suited for clinical applications. After characterizing and validating these identified targets, EUROPROTEOME offers these targets for co-development agreements with industrial clients and marketing partners.

GeneBio is committed to providing quality databases, software tools and services to the Life Science industry particularly in the field of proteomics. We are the exclusive worldwide representative for the licensing to commercial institutions of the proteomics databases and software tools which are developed and maintained by the Swiss Institute of Bioinformatics (SIB).
GeneProt's goal is to become the leader in the discovery, identification and characterization of proteins and their functions for major disabling or life threatening diseases. GeneProt has successfully combined the elements of science, technology and management to ensure its success. GeneProt's team of cutting-edge scientists, those behind many of the breakthroughs that define the current state of proteomic knowledge, is supported by state-of-the art equipment, including one of the industrial world's most powerful computer systems, management expertise in the biotech field and a number of strategic partnerships.
